The Seattle Seahawks have signed quarterback DeShauna Watson to a five-year contract extension that includes $12 million guaranteed.
Watson, 23, is in his first year with the team after spending the 2015 season with the Carolina Panthers.
He made his NFL debut on Dec. 15 against the New Orleans Saints.
He played in nine games for Seattle this season, throwing for 3,068 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The Seahawks selected Watson with the 18th overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft.
