Man UtD midfielder Shinji Kagawa says the recovery from the stress of injury was “a good feeling”.
The Japan international had surgery to remove a cyst from his ankle on Sunday and was expected to miss up to two weeks, but he is now expected to be available for the Blues’ home clash with Sunderland on Monday night.
“I’m really happy,” said Kagawa.
“It was a big challenge, but it was worth it.
It was important for me to be able to come back and play.
I’ve never had a problem with the ankle in my career, and now it’s finally going well.”
It was nice to come off the injury and see my teammates and the fans at the stadium.
It is a great feeling.
“The Japan forward has not played since August, but was at his best in the 6-1 thrashing of FC Dallas in the US Open Cup on Tuesday.”
There are always things you do differently in the game and you need to do things differently in training.
“I’m very pleased that I am playing for a club that is one of the top teams in the world. “
I hope I can show my best to the fans.””
