Breitbart News has learned that a Pennsylvania Republican who used the hashtag “#F**K Donald Trump,” in which he referred to Trump as a “faggot,” is being suspended from the social media platform.
The statement posted on the social-media site by Republican state Rep. Dan DeWine, a Pennsylvania native, read in part:The social media site said in a statement that DeWinae was being suspended after he posted the tweet on February 2.
The social-network service said that the tweet violated the company’s terms of service and that the House of Representatives is working to “reconsider the decision.”
DeWine was one of three lawmakers in the House who sent a letter to the company on Friday that criticized the company for allowing “fags” to share the word “f**k” on the site.
The letter, signed by Democratic state Rep., states that the “fag” in question, whose real name is Ryan Giddens, tweeted the following statement on February 4:DeWines suspension follows a backlash over the use of the hashtag #F**kinTrump on social media.
The Republican Party of Pennsylvania sent a statement to the Associated Press Friday saying that “the Twitter platform has been abysmal at handling the use and abuse of their platform by our users.”
“I hope that they will reconsider the decision and make the right decision for the constituents and the Republican Party,” the statement read.
